Welcome to Lynne Davies Dog Training

This website will enable you to get to know me, the way that I train, and my attitude to dog training. It will list what Lynne Davies Dog Training has to offer to improve your relationship with your dog and will introduce the other  members of my team

How do you train a dog?

Firstly you have to train the owner. Get rid of the bad habits, be aware of how your voice and body language often give off confusing signals, and look at your dog's environment to ensure that you are not making life extra difficult for yourself.

Then you can start training your dog. Keep things simple, black and white, because if there are any grey areas your dog will have problems understanding. Find out what your dog really likes to use as a reward - toy, food, strokes or just verbal praise. Then away you go!

About Lynne

I started learning to be a dog trainer some years ago when I took on an adult dog that came with "baggage". Aggression to people and other dogs, along with destructiveness were just a few problems that I inherited. It took a lot of work to turn that dog around, but he became my inspiration and I have never looked back.

I continue to learn more on a daily basis and feel that there will always be new techniques and theories to add to my dog training "tool box". I have yet to discover a dog that I can not help, and take pride in the fact that  I can  match any dog and any owner combination to a suitable training method which both can understand.

My spare time is spent training my own dogs, Kane, Zeke and Alice. Kane and Zeke have competed in working trials. Alice is a work in progress.
