My time on Dog Borstal was great fun and a life changing experience for both George and myself. Life with George is so much more rewarding not to mention easier. Now I have an understanding of a dogs way of viewing the world, and more importantly, how I should react to give George the help he needs. I continue to see improvement in him even now, some 12 months on. It just goes to show, you can teach an old dog new tricks and George is doing well too! The home visit by Lynne really helped, by seeing George and my other two dogs in there normal environment, Lynne was able to give us individual advice, based on the dogs day to day routine, where, when, how to walk, what and how to feed and train them. I still attend training every week, there are always new things to learn and to spend time with other dog lovers who are keen to improve and share their experiences is something I cannot imagine being without. I believe every dog owner owes it to their dogs and themselves to invest their time in gaining a better insight into their relationship with their pet. Do it now! Although he has improved so much (I'm proud to say he's actually been passed as a 'Pet Therapy Dog') we are still going along to training sessions because it's such a beautiful place with a great atmosphere and we enjoy it." (Audrey and Spike). Misty came to us in January 07, she is a 4 year old boxer dog with a great personality and a mind of her own. Wonderful dog indoors but get her outside she changes completely, she used to be up for trouble with other dogs and even growling and whining at people too. I dreaded taking her out ,infact, I wouldn't go out without my husband because I couldn't hold or control her properly. I first heard of Lynne from a friend. I arranged a home visit, and to cut a long story short, Misty and I have come on in leaps and bounds since that day, with good sound and sensible advice. We started Sat training classes in April, and also evening agility classes through the summer, and not only does Misty enjoy it, so do I. We are up to training off lead with roughly 10 other dogs in our class. My confidence has grown and Misty is a changed dog. I do realise now that most of the problem was me, not knowing where to start. Thanks to Lynne's expertise I really am enjoying being Misty's owner and she also has confidence in me. Thank you Lynne. (Jan and Misty) We chose a Labradoodle for their excellent temperament having had a bad experience with a previous dog about 8 years ago. Doodles joined our family as an eight week old puppy and despite puppy training classes (dismal failure) and dog training every Sunday locally by the time she reached six months of age Doodles was a real handful. She had all the temperament qualities we wanted but was really, really naughty and totally out of control. We had seen Lynne on Dog Borstal and were impressed with her no-nonsense approach so I tracked her down and asked for help. Lynne started by visiting us at home for a couple of hours during which she helped us with diet, behaviour and also some basic dog psychology. The difference in Doodles after 48 hours was amazing! She calmed down dramatically and was a pleasure to have around for the first time so we enrolled on a series of training classes to build on the excellent start Lynne had given us. After 10 classes we had exactly the dog we wanted. She is a pleasure to walk, brilliant with our five young grandchildren and we can honestly say we have never had a moment’s worry about her being aggressive or disobedient. So a year later when we decided to have another Labradoodle puppy we called Lynne first for advice and immediately enrolled our new puppy Daisy, in a series of 10 lessons. Lynne and her excellent team of dog trainers are unique in that they get to know each dog and it’s owner personally and although you are part of a class it feels like an individual session. I have no hesitation in recommending Lynne Davies and her team to anyone wanting a well behaved dog that is a pleasure to have in your family.
