BEHAVIOURAL CONSULTATIONS

Do you have a "problem dog". with aggression, destructiveness, over excitement or separation anxiety? These are just a few of the unwanted behaviours that people struggle with with their dogs.

A Behavioural Consultation is held at your home and enables the problems to be attacked at "grass roots". Lynne will visit and spend between 1 1/2 and 2 hours with you, helping you understand why your dog is doing these things and how you can rectify the problem. If you do not get things right at home, everything outside will still be a struggle.

This is also beneficial for those re-homing a dog or expecting another addition in to the family.

These visits are available weekdays between 9am and 5pm.

PUPPY HOME VISITS

These can be done before your puppy arrives or once the puppy is home and will give you all the information you need regarding what your puppy should and should not be allowed to do. For example: is your puppy eating the right food, how do you house train your puppy, what socialisation should you be doing and how do you introduce your puppy to the "big scary world outside"? Getting these things right at the start will minimise problems in the future.

Each visit by your instructor will last approximately 1 1/2 hours and these sessions are available weekdays between 9 am and  5 pm.

1-2-1 TRAINING

Each session is held at our training centre and lasts 1 hour. Your instructor will work with you on an individual basis dealing with your individual needs. Pulling on the lead, recall problems, lack of attention and how to mentally and or  physically stimulate your dog are the usual requests, although each session is relevant to your specific "wish list".

These sessions are available weekdays between 9 am and 5 pm.

GROUP CLASSES

Group Classes are held at our training centre on Saturdays and Sundays, each class consists of a mixture of breeds, ages and characters. Loads of distractions mean harder work initially, but much greater control in the future, so training outside is the order of the day.

Attention from the instructor is divided between all in the class, but no one is left to struggle as a trainee instructor or helper is always on hand. The first half of the session is usually dedicated to control - heel work, stays, recalls etc. The second half usually concentrates on mental or physical stimulation - agility, searches etc.

1 hour on the field followed by a cup of tea and a chat makes for a nice relaxed, social event without the "cliquey" feeling that is often felt at other clubs. Socially this is a great way of meeting other dog owners and allows your dog to get used to being around other dogs in a controlled manner.

Intensive Full Day Training

Come and spend a full day at my training centre dealing with your specific " Wish List " on a 1-2-1 basis. Your instructor will devise the training around you and your Dog, The session last's about five hours including time for a light lunch (provided) Or why not get together with some friends and organise a group day, Accommodation and Kennelling can be provided at an extra charge.

COURSE INFORMATION CLICK  HERE

There are lots of residential courses out there where you can send your dog away to be trained. When you collect your dog you will be shown a demonstration of your dog's new skills and shown how to handle them in future.

However, I truly believe that in most cases it is the owner who needs training more than the dog. Wouldn't it be better if you both came to be trained? Well now you can.

Do you fancy 3 days intensive dog training as part of a group? A great way to learn and progress with both hands on training and theory explaining how dogs learn. Whether you have specific "problems" or just want to have a holiday with your dog this could be just for you.

You will stay in local hotel accommodation with the other members of your group where you will enjoy a hearty breakfast, plus an evening meal and good company from likeminded "doggy people".

Your dog will stay at the kennels adjoining my training centre - one of the best kennels in the country - where they will be able to have a well earned rest after their hectic training day.

A light lunch will be provided each day to keep your batteries charged. Your evenings are your own and can be spent as you wish - although early nights will probably be the most appealing.

Oh, and you will have plenty of work to do in between. Lynne and her Instructors will guide you through each day's schedule and ensure that your stay is a rewarding experience that you will remember for years to come.
